trails are badly sign posted.. we ended up on the national trail which was steep.. couldn't make it to the top for the view so had to turn back....

Great trail for the whole family, even the young ones.

This is a great hike for a workout, but the scenery isn't too impressive. The views of the surrounding scenery was very impressive and worth the trip alone.

I've done these loops more than 10 times. it is a family favorite. Fat Man's Pass is especially fun There's many boulders to climb and there are a few places where you can see the Phoenix valley, it's fun to see the airplanes come in at Sky Harbor. Be prepared to scramble just a bit. My husband and I were introduced to this hike by some friends and we will be forever grateful.
