Nice smooth and level trail (not that many flat trails in Prescott) with great views of the dells and the lakes. Lots of people out on the trail. Plenty of benches for a rest. No parking fee on Wednesday (normally $3).

The trailhead bathroom was one of the best I have seen a parking lot have! I hiked 6 miles of this hike. I enjoyed the easy pace.

I did the lakeshore trail off Peavine. Found a treehouse on treehouse loop! Walked up to secret cove which was beautiful! Definitely recommend.

normally a parking fee, but with the covid nonsense, the parks would charge a fee to park there. the trail looks like an old service road and is clear to see with mile markings. there's benches to sit and rest and a porta potty at the 3 mile mark. once you get to that point you can keep going straight to head on the iron lion which takes you to glassford hill or you can go left which takes you to the airstrip by the air business park. the wife and I are beginnera and made it 4.75 miles in and turned around making 9.5 miles total. it's mainly flat with a slight incline on some parts and mostly zero shade. good distance though

I am a beginner runner and this was one of my first trails I tried out. I loved the changing scenery and even ground. Had a great time running it and people I met were friendly. Good for biking with the fam or taking the dog on a hike too.

Wonderful hiking experience. I would highly recommend going off the main trail on the marked paths. Note that the main trail is moderate and off the main trail would be more for advanced hikers. Spectacular views and occasional shade.

Creds: AllTrails Pro. Provides accurate mileage and altitude using GPS. 12.3 mi. 545’ altitude gain. No internet service required. Good parking area and free on Wednesday! Started 8:am 3 April 2019 Wednesday. Trail ~5’ wide in excellent condition. Grade is gradual. Perfect for mountain biking and easy hiking. Many benches to rest. The Dells formations beautiful and reminded me of rock formations in Joshua Tree National Forest in Ca. Watson Lake beautiful. Liked the additional side trails and will try next time.

Went on the Storm Ranch and Shorelake hike lead by Larry Timmons of the Sun City Grand Hiking Club and with a total members including myself. Day turned out just right.

Trail itself is a very easy walk. No obstacles. There are other trails which branch off on the left (towards the lake) for a more adventurous/challenging trail, which will reward you with fantastic photo opportunities. There are benches along the trail to "take in the scenery." Def recommend taking a camera.

This by far is one of my favorite trails. The monsoons this year had so much water in the lake that it was backed into the woods at the beginning of the trail. Easy trail nice to take visitors who are not used to the altitude. Dog friendly. Great views as you climb from the south side of the trail. Mountain bikes frequent this trail.

The trail is OK some parts are very very pretty, but I don't hike this trail any more. Every time I have hiked on this trail I have seen numerous rattlesnakes, including several Mohave Greens. Since they totally creep me out, I now use other trails. Stay alert on this trail.

this trail is a challenge if you have never gone 12 miles I started on a 5 mile trail that connects to this one and got confused and ended up doing the 12 miles by accident. it was hard to say the least but still fun!
