The first 1.5 miles is pretty boring but then you get into more challenging trail, up and down through the changing elevation. There are miles of trails up on the ridges that have beautiful views. My GPS battery failed 3/4 of the way into the trail so I headed due west, as the sun was setting, following the wash until I hit the canal on Laguna Road; then went south, meandering around the ponds and water obstacles until I got to the starting point. Excellent hiking, mountain biking, and 4x4 trails (separate, but sometimes running parallel to hiking trail).
