Connector to Gateway/Bell Pass from Quartz trail runs through a wash up along the North side of Mcdowell Mtn Ranch. Also connects Gateway trail head into trails leading to Lost Dog Wash Trail head, Ringtrail and Sunrise trail heads. Would not necessarily seek out to do this trail on its own, but it does offer some shade and is a trail that we use a lot during the warmer months to complete a loop from home into the preserve via 104th street/Levee and then quartz trails. Good sunset views available near the Levee trail junction without having to venture too far into the preserve when the sun is setting.
