Painted Desert Rim Trail is a 1.3 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Chambers, Arizona that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

I led a group of Girl Scouts on this trail, starting at the Tawa Trail. It was great, just hot because of the lack of shade. Very easy, slight incline--just bring water!

Very similar to the landforms/ash mounds of the badlands, but nearly as many. These are MUCH more beautiful though with deep colors!
