This isn't the easiest trail but the parking is ample and the 360 views are amazing.

trail from the northern-most trailhead is steep but leads to a paved road that goes to the Towers. you can continue south on Traill 44 which is a steep and rocky downhill scramble. this trail would be better done clockwise taking the scrabble going up then the paved road down

I went for the first time with my 9 and 7 year olds, it was tough for them the first time around. They made it to the top. Great trail, pretty crowded but people were good about socially distancing.

An easy and perfect route for those who want to start or return to hiking after a break. A little rocky at the beginning but soon there is a paved path to the top. // Una ruta fácil y perfecta para los que quieran empezar o volver a hacer senderismo después de un rato de descanso. Un poco rocoso al empezar pero enseguida hay una ruta pavimentada hacia la cima.

Great trail — the intrepid incline certainly means this is NOT for your beginners unless you’ve prepared for a workout! Beautiful sights of Downtown Phoenix across the valley! Definitely going again when it isn’t a sweltering 104 degrees!

One of my favorite trails! Starts rocky at first and then turns into pavement the rest of the way. But don’t get fooled lots of steep incline which makes for a great quick workout! Views are beautiful at the top. It’s also super family friendly.

If you want to avoid the large crowd during COVID-19 I suggest going early early. Nonetheless, it was a great hike out today.

Did this with my dog, first half of the trail is great and easy for hikers with dogs. Second half around the backside of the mountain is mostly scramble. You have to be careful if you bring your dog if they go too fast and don’t stay at your pace going down the rocks. He did okay but I won’t bring him back to do the whole loop.

A pretty steep climb. It was a great workout and the views were incredible. There were a ton of people out there, though. But I would still go back.

We love this trail! It’s very steep and rocky at the beginning and then turns into a very nice paved path.. the hike is slightly difficult but a great workout!

A lot of people on this trail... can’t blame them, though. It’s a combo of a sketchy, loose, tough climb with great vistas. Then, you get to stroll down a very steep paved road for the majority of the downhill (if you go clockwise, at least). I wouldn’t recommend it for people just getting their trail legs.
