Beautiful hike, yes there’s a lot of road noise but if you’re fine with that? There’s stunning views and a good bit of shade. Creek is dry but it’s still gorgeous!

It’s a five star trail in a three star location. The trail is well marked and the views are beautiful once down the trail a bit. About 25% is in the shade and a small amount of water in some areas. BUT... there is a popular off roading path that runs right along the trail. Buggies were buzzing by up there with music blaring. A trail shouldn’t have more noise pollution than my house with my teenage boys. It would be a great trail if the road wasn’t there!

Beautiful trail! Not too difficult, and the view at the top is perfect. Also nice and shady. We got here around 8 and there was plenty of parking and not many people on the trail.

Moderate 7 mile out and back trail with a sensational view waiting at the end. Climb there is moderate inclines but sunny. The views on way back of Sedona are magical. One big drawback of this hike is the dirt vehicle road that runs parallel to trail. You can hear keep and buggy motors constantly as well as blaring music. Not ideal but the views are still worth it.

Love this trail! It’s got it all!

Great trail hangover channel is pretty steep with sharp drooffs but incredibly beautiful. A lot of the stream crossings were flooded

Bear Wallow Canyon is beautiful. The trail is rough in places and well marked. It parallels the 4x4 road, lots of traffic and noise from it.

I love this hike and have been doing it for years, but this time there were too many mountain bikes for my taste.

Pleasant, moderate hike. Beautiful views most of the way, particularly up atop Merry-Go-Round itself.

Rough ride but fun as heck ! We got married a year ago today and had to rent a UTV to bring the kids up there this time. Fun drive, it was sprinkling a bit so we definitely got muddy which to me made it even more fun. Met up with quite a few 4x4’s and tour vehicles but plenty of room to pass on the trail. It’s a nice long trail with an incredible view at the top.

This trail sets the bar for views and ease of access! Nice moderate hike with spectacular views every step of the way! Go on a non holiday weekday in winter and you will not have the constant jeep tours going by. Heard maybe 6-8 the entire time.

Great trail, too much noise from road nearby. Well worth it.

The trail is easy side of moderate with no steep portions. Great views along the way. Sun and shade. Some noise from 4×4 road. Mostly had trail all to ourselves.

This would be a great hike if it wasn't for the ATV and Jeep road noise. We hike in the area as a way of getting away from city noise and enjoying the serenity of nature. I agree the views are spectacular and the hiking trail has some shade along a mostly dried up stream (still nice to see the stream bed) but with so many other trails in the area that get you away from noise and are equally spectacular, I would suggest another trail.
