***Open now (fire closure nulled)*** A good length trail for an early summer time hike. We arrived around 6am then hit the trail and finished in about an 1 & 1/2. First mile includes some elevation gain that isn’t steep at all. You get a great view of the Northern portion of the White Tank Park and of the Valley itself. Most of the trail is flat after the incline and very visible. Trail markers easily point you in the direction of following it. No sign at the end of the AllTrails version of this trail, but just turned around at a cross-trail sign. There were lots of Mtn bikers we had to step aside for, so if you are okay with doing that this is a great beginner trail! Also, great conversations were had due to no scrambling portions, and this is definitely a date worthy hiking trail!

This is a great trail with beautiful views of the city and park. I think it’s a little harder than just easy, but it’s a good challenge. Saw my first diamondback rattle snake off this trail. Hikers beware!!

Well suited for trail running. Overall pretty flat, with some exceptions. Follow Mule Deer Trail as long as you please and head back again. A little boring at the beginning/end. Not many people on this one, which is a plus.

Amazing trail for Hardtails and even FS. It is short and fun. I did it around 4 times and it was so fun. Recommend you wear a full face helmet because if you fall that would be brutal. Definitely worth the $6

I used this for a run. Started at Indian school which was pretty boring but the overall trail was good to run on. Went to late in the day or I would of ran all the way back but I don’t run in the desert after dark. Lol. Made it next start of Maricopa trail then went back to the library About 11 miles. The last mile is the only real elevation. Good cardio

Nice hike to take first time hikers and dogs on. It's not crowded and very pretty with little elevation gain. It can be done one way if you put a second car at the campground.

Lots of birds tending to the many wildflowers in bloom on the cacti. A very nice overlook on a field of Sagauro s early in the hike is the highlight.
