Well groomed trail around the base of the San Tan mountains. Good for hiking, biking or even pushing a jogging stroller. Lots of Saguaro cacti and Joshua trees and a view of the valley not so far below. Several trails start at the same trailhead with varying difficulty. $6 entry fee.

First hike with my two little boys. Easy and long enough for all of us.

Excellent Hike with Great views. Although it look like route is mislabeled The Moonlight Trail is labeled Malpais Trail and the middle trail is actually a service road.

This trail has an out of town feel without having to drive out of town. Well groomed trails good for hiking or biking-- probably could even take a jogging stroller with kids. Not much scenery. I think I'd have liked it more biking; I'll have to try it out. Lots of other trails close/linked to this one.
