Martinez Canyon Trail is a 8.2 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Gold Canyon, Arizona that offers scenic views and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking and ohv/off road driving and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Although hikers/bikers can use this road, it is mostly an off-road driving route. At the end of this canyon is the historic Martinez Mine. Visitors can also drive to the end of this road and hike to the mines.
Great trail. Ran it from box canyon. The trail is moderate to hard depending on your rig. I ran it in stock 2 door rubicon and had no problems. The last two miles of the trail you have to hike to reach the cabin and mine site. The trail has been closed off at that point however you allowed to hike it.
