Saw our 1st rattle snake of the year. About 3.5 feet long. Next to trail and headed to some brush. Not a threat when we saw him

We mixed the wild burro and lower javelina trails. Great views very challenging. Hiking shoes recommended. I carried my 3 yo on her hiking chair but had to be extremely careful on the lower javelina portion. It climbs and some of the path is narrow. My wife wore her running shoes and had trouble slipping with the gravel. Over all very fun trail.
