Tried to go there on Monday holiday but not one parking spot left! Parking on both sides of the road has now been blocked too with heavy parking fines.

Trail was challenging for me because I'm kind of out of shape. but still made it 4 miles before I ran low on water and turned back.

The road in to the trailhead was bumpy and muddy, and we had to cross through water a few times but it wasn’t bad in an SUV as long as we went slow. This was my first time hiking in the Superstitions and it was gorgeous. All of the recent rain has left everything really green. This trail is mostly flat and would make a good family hike for beginners (or children or older folks). We turned around earlier than planned when we heard thunder.

Good trail for running. Not to rocky or crazy up & down elevations. Definitely not 10.8 miles , more like 12+. Bring Water ( we made it on 750 ml per person in December) very little shade! Watch out for jumping cactus , some areas they are in bunches.

Hiked on October 15. We had the entire trail to ourselves with great weather. An easy walk with a few ankle twisters if you’re not focused on the trail. Great views of the south end of Superstition Mountain. Bring 3 liters or more on a warm day.

Hiked it many times from both Hieroglyphics Parking Lot and from Peralta TH. One question, is it closed now because of the Woodbury fire in the Superstitions?

Beautiful hike!! Definitely 12 miles from trailhead to Peralta road but it is a bit harder than easy level if you hike with any heat or pack weight.

One of our favorites. Great trail, and views, long, lots of short ups and downs, as oppose to one long hike up. During the spring the flowers are amazing. Nobody was on this trail either, ran into four other hikers during this multi-hour hike, who parked their two cars at opposite ends of the trail just in case they didn't feel like going out and back, and just wanted to do 3.5-5 miles.
