Wonderful short hike for sunset! Only a few parking spots but seems like there's plenty of space in the residential streets nearby. I love how natural this trail is, very rocky so make sure to wear your boots. Forget Camelback, this is where I'm taking visitors from out of town!

This short hike is one of my favorites because it's local to me and a great weekday morning hike since it takes less than an hour. I definitely wear my hiking shoes for this trail because, as others have mentioned, it gets pretty rocky and loose near the top as well as steep at some points.

Out of all the trails I've done thus far in the Phoenix area, this is my least favorite (it's not saying a ton as I've only done 4 other hikes in Phoenix). I found the trail to be very rocky, not too scenic and we went at a bad time - it was hot hot hot. I did reach the summit and grabbed a few photos, but I wish I would've spent the day on another hike. I'd leave this one for later down on your list.

Short but fun trail with excellent views of the city. Decided to go across to the other peak and scrambled over the rocks only to find a beehive in the way of the trail. Had to find a way around which involved going off trail on the side of the mountain. Was pretty gnarly for a few minutes. If I weren’t allergic to bees wouldn’t have been such a big deal.

Now I consider this one harder than moderate. Don't recommend doing this after the circumference loop, which is what we did. We found it strenuous. Not to mention a large lizard strutting his stuff showing me who was boss.

This was a nice, short little jaunt up a hill. Crazy rocky!! You could go a couple different ways around this little mountain. There is parking here, but no water or bathroom. I wouldn’t bring kids or a dog. Great view of the valley though!

Nice, short hike! You can see the whole city at the top. A ton of loose gravel though!

It’s really rocky at the top. Lots of loose rocks too. But it’s a short fun trail.

Dog friendly, loose rocks in areas, off trail, no shade, lots of turns, steep, 360 views at the top. You can see the ENTIRE valley!

Extra loose on the lower half and craggy on the upper half makes this short hike a great challenge that will keep you focused on your feet. Great vistas.

Actually did this one but came in off of coral gables to start. Very very Rocky. Other than that adding the 308 trail makes this great!!

I really liked this trail, it’s quick but also gives a great workout! Climbed it with a 3 year old strapped to my back, with so much loose rock it made it slightly difficult but still do able this is my new go-to for my workout!
