It was amazing as it provided shade and an easy trail. The best part was we saw about six people the entire time! Occasional helicopter flights above but great if you wish to avoid crowds In April!

Gentle path with nice views. Great for an easy 6-7 miles if you don’t want to work too hard, which is exactly what we wanted for this sunset. See photos and videos @mirelaofearth in story highlights. The birthing cave path is accessed via this trail as well.

The farther we went the fewer people we saw. Peaceful and quiet except for all the tour helicopters flying over every 20 minutes. Must be a tour route.

The farther we went the fewer people we saw until we were pretty much alone, except for the tour helicopters flying over every 20 minutes. Notes written about the ruins and the cairn? Found nothing about that.

Pretty muddy and sloshy after some weekend snow, beautiful trail though that kinda just ends at the back of the canyon.

Nice flat trail until the end, little inclines and declines but nothing horrible. Ended up having a fall on a rock in one of the beds. Still a great trail, lots of tree coverage. We only saw 4 other people. Great time! Only nuisance was the little gnats attacking my face.

Accessed via Boynton Trailhead. Trail was outstanding. The helicopter traffic was pretty obnoxious.

I came to trail run on a Monday afternoon at 4PM, quite a few cars parked. I saw a lot of people surprisingly for that time until about 1-1.5 miles in, and then I didn't come across anyone after that. Views were okay, trail was pretty flat. Some of the trail further in had trees on them and I had to go around it. Not bad, but not great.

Nice walk in the woods. Lots of blow down from recent storm. Easy to navigate around down fall. Patches of snow just to test your balance.

We started on this to go to the birthing cave and once we finished that decided to walk on this for another 1.5 miles. We really enjoyed this as it was just something different for Sedona, once we got to the spot that said wilderness area we went another mile and really liked all the trees and the fairly flat walk. You do see some red rock views, but if you have spent any time in Sedona this won't wow you. We thought the "forest" was lovely. This was not an amazing workout but we thought it would be one of our go to's for exercise when it is warmer in Sedona.

Most of Long Canyon but two spur hikes to caves, the first up to the ice cream cone and sentinels formations and the second to multiple caves. All had ancient dwellings.

Nice easy to moderate trail - allows a fast travel speed for the 1st 3 miles, then slows down for the last mile.

HikingGreat!

Flat and shady with no payoff. Or a great movie but no ending. Better enjoy the journey as the trail just dead ends at a random tree. ;-)
