Loop attached to Bell Rock Pathway overlooking bell and cathedral rocks. A great loop of trails with lots of variations.
We did a six mile loop - courthouse butte to llama to little horse to bell rock pathway to phone trail. After three days of heavy duty hiking in Sedona we just wanted a nice easy hike with some nice views and this fit the bill perfectly
Great views, easy trail. Keep your eyes open for animal sightings! We saw lots of birds and a deer!
I picked up the Llama Trail off of the Courthouse Loop Trail and followed it to its terminus with the Little Horse trail. Although the trail is rated as Moderate, I found it rather easy. Beautiful trek around rock outcrops great vegetation of Prickly Pear Cactus,Yucca and scrub pines. The trail follows a wash for a while and spent some time at a dry crossing that had a small basin with water in it watching birds and geckos drinking & bathing. Only people on the rail that day was a trail work crew completing some maintenance. Great views! Keep an eye out for the cairnes.
