The Little Horse Trail begins as part of the Bell Rock Pathway. Follow this wide trail southward for 0.25 mile. Here, at a signed fork, take the old jeep road branching to the left and marked with basket cairns. The road drops to cross a dry streambed, climbs a bit and ends at the 0.75 mile point. The trail continues to the left and climbs moderately, topping out on a large, flat expanse. Turn to the right here. The level trail leads into a stand of Arizona cypress and intersects Chapel Trail about 1.4 miles from the Chapel of the Holy Cross as it nears the "Madonna and the Nuns" spire rock formation. Continue for 150 yards passing the base of the knobs of Chicken Point on the left. Take the path left for a short climb onto the bare rock for wonderful views. This point is used by jeep tours via Broken Arrow Road.

Great hike up to Chicken Point.

beautiful views! rock ledges to climb for greater views, easy/moderate for such beautiful views, little shade

Nice hike, easy overall until the very end. We didn’t go up to the rock at the end, too many Jeep tours and people. But the hike otherwise was nice with some shaded sections and great views of all the surroundings. We only saw a handful of people and bikers. Good for dogs.

Wonderful hike. The trail is in good shape and well marked. The trail is rocky and rough in places. I started at 1. No problem with parking. There were a few other hikers and bikes, not too busy. Major distraction is the jeep tours that come up from the other side and stop at the turn around point dumping out tourists.

Great short hike. Terrific views at the top. Heavily trafficked with lots of mountain bikers which is why I gave it a 4. Go early.

this was a great hike - some areas are unshaded, but there were plenty of shaded areas to make up the difference. This is one worth going back to!

Great trail. Wonderful views; our 6- and 10-year-old loved climbing up Chicken Point.

I was glad we chose this hike. It is listed as moderate but it's pretty easy. I'm going thru cancer treatment and i get tired easily sometimes. I was able to do it thru to the end with no problem. We started around 8:00 am, the sun makes the trail hot so start early and bring enough water which will make your hike more enjoyable. Very scenic.

we all liked this hike very much. beautiful vistas on this moderate hike. finishing at Chicken Point which has great views. this is also a very popular spot for Pink Jeep tours so be prepared for crowds at the end. this shouldn't discourage you from the hike however, still very good.

10-6-19 Early Morning Hike to The White Line! Beautiful Scenery, Hot Spot for pics and the jeeps will also be there to greet you. 2 of the women I was hiking with did the white line, I did not have the courage! Washroom on site/$5.00 fee

This trail was our favorite in Sedona. The views are spectacular.

This was a nice change of scenery and difficulty compared to some of the other trails we did in Sedona. It was a little more green and shaded (although we did it late in the day and it was dark by the time we got back). We continued the hike out to the Chapel before going back. If you dropped one car at the Chapel you could do it as a through hike.

This is a good trail but I recommend going early as not much shade and a great view at the end. There are parts of the trail that are not clearly marked but this app was a blessing to keep you on the right path.

Beautiful trails, beautiful views...don’t be fooled by the “easy” rating or the comments about shade, in the summer months it is brutally hot mid day...so take plenty of water and start early. Well worth the views.

Good parking area.. $5 to park. 360 views! Lots of trees. Be cautious as most of trail is easy to follow (and some are marked with signs)) but a few sections have multiple off shoots and can end up on different trail. Great hike!

The parking area has plenty of slots plus a restroom. Have credit card ready to pay the $5 fee. Hike was great with plenty of wild flowers. We did watercolour sketches at the top area. Occasionally some pink jeeps showed up led by tour guides I think and did not stay long.

Great trail, pretty easy with breathtaking views the entire way. Would definitely recommend for anyone trying to get some nice pictures! It also connects to a few other trails so you can easily make it a longer hike.

My girlfriend friend and I really enjoyed this. First hike in Sedona, easy slightly up hill to Chicken Point. Great views at Chicken Point. Perfect amount of exercise.

Beautiful views and wildflowers. Very pretty trail with views of the beautiful red rock formations all along to Chicken Point. Had to keep stepping off of the trail for bikes to pass and the parking area is not large enough. Go early, take plenty of water-- the sun can be hot on the trail. The top of Chicken Point is a great place to eat lunch and look at the view.
