This trail was great it crossed a small creek bed and had some amazing views. Bell rock and the surrounding rocks were right next to you. There were some great photo ops. Not a very hard trail but does have some rocks and rough spots in the path. Perfect for our 9 year old.

Good introductory hike. We did it on our first day in Sedona after arriving around 2:30pm. Beautiful views and a nice way to orient yourself to Cococino Park. Some loose rocks so wear somewhat stable shoes - our running shoes were plenty.

Nice trail that is clearly marked, mostly even ground with a few staircases to climb. Went early in morning and did a good portion in the shade. Didn’t see a lot of people first thing but by the time had turned around the parking lot was full and trail was getting busy.

Several trails to extend your time in the area like Chapel, Llama, White Line, etc.

Good trail with no anxious sections.

Very enjoyable trail with minimal incline and excellent footing. There is some incline but it is over the whole trail, no steep uphill or downhills. We did hike up to Chicken Point at the end which I would highly recommend as the scenery is beautiful, it was the perfect lunch spot. The view was slightly ruined at the top by the pink jeep travelers, but they move through quickly.

We hiked this trail with our 2 kids (10 and 8) and loved it!! Trails were clearly marked and take you through a variety of terrain that is a little bit challenging but still fun. Amazing views at every turn. We took this to Chapel trail and hiked all the way to Chapel of the Cross. A great way to spend a morning.

Good scenery but mostly flat and not challenging

Great little out and back walk/hike. Great trail for dogs. Very scenic and gorgeous backdrop for pictures.

The trail’s rating should be moderate rather than easy. Plus, the mileage from the parking lot to Chicken Point and back was 4.5 miles, not 3.1. Great hike and beautiful views. Gary

Visiting again and looked for next hike in Sedona. Little Horse was best hike yet. So scenic and every turn was breathtaking. A “must-hike” for anyone visiting (and locals love it). Would recommend stiffer sole shoes.

Lovely hike. More moderate than easy.

Continues past chicken point but then loses in forest. Very poorly marked. Got directions from s pink jeep driver thanks a bunch!

Head out early for best views. Bring your GPS!

Easy, spectacular views the whole way, beautiful flowers, wasn't too crowded with a 9am start. Busier by 10am. Shared the summit with a jeep tour, but luckily they left pretty quickly and I enjoyed the views from the top to myself.

Love this hike as well. Chicken point is amazing

This is NOT an easy trail for mountain biking. There are a few sections that are very difficult to ride (especially when going up to Chicken Point) but it’s not that hard to walk your bike through these sections, and it’s worth it!

When you get up to Chicken Point, hang out awhile and enjoy the amazing views. You might be lucky enough to se someone riding “The White Line”. You can continue riding around back to “the Hogs” or go back down and make your first left and rip down Llama. It’s a fun trail that you can ride fast.

Beautiful vista at the end but this trail is much more of a moderate than an easy. There are stretches where you go up rocks on the path that could be hazardous if your footing is not good. A lot of bikes on the narrow parts of the trail make for tough going in some parts. Bring water! Budget more time than you think. Also be sure to wear a hat, as there is little shade.

Great trail! Lots of mountain bikers but we didn’t have problem and there was 4 humans and 2 dogs.

Nice trail with many scenic views of the red rock formations all along the trail.
I would consider this moderate hike, as it is a gradual but steady incline on the way to Chicken Point, which by the way offers a great payoff at the end.
We did this hike today, it was sunny and warm, so bring at LEAST 2 bottles of water with you. When the Jeep tours left, it was just us two for a little while at the top. Very memorable to just sit here and take it all in.

Wide path, rocky in spots, steady uphill. Closer to moderate especially last 1/4 mile. Great view payoffs at Chicken Point. Fairly steady traffic.

Didn’t see any little horses

Very quiet, only saw one other person when we were out around 3-5PM on a Thursday afternoon. Pretty easy, some mild hills and loose rocks. You know how all kids love balancing on curbs? My 3 yo daughter LOVED jumping on all of the big rocks lining the side - it kept her busy and wore her out, she slept great! Not much shade or places to rest without full sun, so bring a hat and sun protection.

Nice easy hike with options to connect to trails leading to Bell Rock or Chapel of the Holy Cross. Perfect distance. Partially shaded, but be sure to bring plenty of water.Great views!

Nice hike. Linked up with Bell Rock, Bail and Llama trails to extend this a little bit. Great views!

Amazing views, rated 4/5 Sour Patch Kids. Chicken Point was great until two Pink Jeeps arrived and unlade their horde of loud tourists.

A great hike with kids. Parking lot was easy to find, we were able to use National Parks pass for parking (otherwise you may need to pay for parking on honor system). The trail markers were very clear and each major turn in the trail had a map so we can see about how far to the next "check-in". I recommend this one for sure!

Amazing views at the end! This is one of my favorite hikes. The long sweeping views are gorgeous. It’s such an easy hike for a great payoff! We hiked it easily with 5 kids ages 13-5.

Great hike, meanders through greenery with amazing views at every turn! We continued all the way up to Chicken Point. Definitely great for families, all ages. Good shoes and lots of water was helpful. Parking was tight and it was fairly busy during spring break. Glad we did this and would do it again! The trail connects with the Broken Arrow trail.

This trail was so extra!!! With the scenery and the hiking atop the boulder! Wow! The view from atop the boulder is breath taking! So many photo opportunities. As I’ve only been on 5 hikes now on moderately popular hiking trails... the crowds did not bother me. I think the only thing that bothers me on hikes is when you’re friendly and say hello and it’s not reciprocated... This hike does require a parking pass that can be purchased with a CC at the trailhead. Parking is limited so arrive early to snag a spot. There is one vault (no-flush) toilet at the trailhead.
