Great trail. For some, the walk up during the first part of the loop may be difficult given the igneous sand that covers a lot of the trail. Cool views of the Bonito lava flow as well. The views from the top are amazing, especially if you are into volcanoes. The view of Humphrey's Peak (stratovolcano), Elden Mountain (lava dome) and Sunset Crater (cinder cone) makes for a great way to learn a little more about Arizona's geologic history. Interpretative signs are also placed at the top of the hike. Park staff that I ran into at the bottom of the hill were extremely friendly and clearly care a lot about the area - they gave additional educational information that made the hike even better.

Great and short trail! I’m not used to the elevation so I had to pause a few times to just breathe but otherwise an easy trail with great view!

Great short hike in a fascinating monument! You’re walking on volcanic sediment that is very similar to sand, so take this into account along with the elevation gain and altitude. Parking also will be limited, depending on which trailhead you use.

This hike was the highlight of my trip to Flagstaff! The slope is steep and really gets your heart and quads pumping. But most of the path is shaded while in the Ponderosa Pine Forest. The view from the summit is exceptional!! So worth the effort. If you aren’t used to the elevation just take breaks and listen to your body. It’s totally worth the effort!!!

The Lenox Crater Trail was a great hike! The views for most of the way are spectacular. Please note that AllTrails has Lenox Trail and Lenox Crater Trail mixed up, though they are at the exact same location.

If you’re not from a high altitude place, don’t underestimate the workout of the climb up. The sign at the top will teach you some cool things. Some people like this environment, some will have no idea, why it’s appealing.

Great, fairly strait forward trail. Hiked it with our family of four, including two kids ages 9 & 11. They ran a good portion of it. Has an elevation change of about 200 ft, but it’s gradual and pretty simple. Not a ton of great views, except sunset crater.

It's easy but I'm not sure what to see in this trail.

Great hike and so interesting! The views are pretty spectacular, too. We made it with 3 kids, easy enough.

Abandoned at late afternoon - nice light - fallen trees with interesting dried roots - colour contrasts: black of lava stone, yellow of flowers

Quick hike with a great payoff. The climb is steep but you are rewarded with great views of the crater and the San Francisco peaks at the end. Highly recommended.

Short loop walking to the top of a cinder cone. There are views of Lenox Crater and other volcanos. You can continue into the Lava Flow trail.

1/2 mile up a loosely packed cinder cone at 6000 ft elevation is a test for many cardio systems. Great view at the top!
