Rolling path with some loose and some fixed rocks, but pay attention and you’ll be fine. Beautiful scenery of cacti, mountains in the distance, and lake. When we did this in November, the bridge was out, but it was in today. Mid-February Sunday early afternoon was quite busy on the trail, but there were plenty of open spots for parking. We parked at the north trailhead and walked to the end, ate lunch with a lake view, and went back. We also took the Yavapai Point Trail, adding another couple miles.

4.2 miles in and out. We entered on the north side which is great in the morning bc the sun is behind you later in the day on the way back. 6 and 8 year old loved it. Great water views and about half way it actually goes down to the lake.

Best hike by far!!! Omg we had a blast!! The views of the lake are breathtaking... the water is so clear and our pupper got a chance to jump and play in the water by the bridge. Lots of foot traffic and trail gets super narrow at the top so we had to walk in a line and move over to the side for others. So so good and easy to find and marked clearly along the way. It is an in and then out but you have other trail options that connect so it was fun to explore a bit. It took us about 3 hours but we did a lot of stopping for our doggo and let her play at the water and rest in the shade at the top.

The floating bridge on the trail is open. The trail connects to the one going to the top of the hill. Perfect hike with great views.

did this trail at night. amazing stars.

A fine shorter trail. The views are not as impressive as some others around Lake Pleasant, and there's a creek deep enough that I didn't cross it to complete the last .8 of the trail.

Not a bad hike at all, not as steep as Yavapai, pretty easy. It’s also sometimes pretty rocky and trail can be full of gnats. Unfortunately, at the end of the trail, the bridge is ruined :( it was my first time hiking this too and was looking forward to the bridge. It fell apart in many different pieces with tree remains on it and the water around it has drained. I think it could’ve been ruined by the few storms we’ve had in Arizona. I hope it’ll get fixed sometime.

Beautiful trail! Went early morning and only saw a few people. Ran into a burro who loved screaming at my dogs haha. Water was clear and refreshing. Easy climb not many hills but some decent views.

We enjoyed this trail. Its wider than the Yavapai trail and not as steep. We actually saw the donkeys this time! It was pretty hot in the direct sunlight. We will do more trails when the fall comes.

Beautiful hike today. Every week brings more people and we were lucky to catch the last open spot in the trailhead parking lot this morning (btw, good clean restrooms there too but bring your own soap). It’s also fun to watch the spring wildflowers become more abundant as each week passes. The warmer weather is bringing out the lizards and there was a rattlesnake sighted on Pipeline Trail this morning too! We’ve seen plenty of dogs on the trail and we are always fearful of them getting bit by a snake because 90% of the time folks don’t have them on leashes. We brought our fishing poles this time and were able to catch and release a couple of Largemouth Bass at the beginning stage of the spawn. It was a great day except for when ‘Soldier Girl’ slipped at the beginning and busted up her knuckles pretty good on her right hand! We did not see any burrows this time but we did hear one ‘hee-hawing’ loudly as we neared the water leading to the foot bridge. Toward the end of the trail we came upon 3 or 4 EMS guys tending to a sick or injured woman on the trail (we immediately turned around so as not to crowd the area for them). God Bless or Police and Fire Departments - they’re always there when we need them!

If it's sagaro cactus your after this is the trail! The desert never disappoints.
