This is a surprising and great area east of Yuma. There are over 40+ miles of single and double-track here and few people seem to explore the area. Head east on Hwy. 95 to Ave. 7E. Turn north and take this to the county landfill. Just before the landfill gate and right after you cross the bridge over the canal, take a left. This road follows the canal for several miles and there are parking places all along it where you can access double-track or single track. The prominent point to the north is Sugarloaf Peak and trails circumnavigate it. Keep the powerlines in sight for orientation. Sometimes Johnny Yuma's Bike shop has printed off maps of the area, but lately they have been less than helpful. You can find a pdf map on Mountain Bike Review.

the trail is fun to do. Light traffic and spectacular views of the valley. A lot of cross roads and narrow passages on top of the mountains. A few 12" boulders seens but for the most part it was a easy-moderate offroad trail to travel. We had a 4drs Jeep with a 3" lift.
