off road driving
Directions were good. We drove over the little dam and along the small canal for 1/4 mile. We parked in an open areA by a large yellow flowering bush that gave us some shade on the car. There was an RV parked there also but we didn't see anyone else. We walked along the dirt road for 1/2 mile and turned left to climb the hills. The views were ruggedly beautiful. We saw some pretty bright pink flowers blooming in the cactus.
We left the road for the trail up along the ridge. It was a nice hike. The multiple layers of hills were majestic. We saw 10 off road vehicles from the hiking trail (glad we didn't have to eat their dust). This hike is full sun. No shade anywhere so grab your hat, water and lots of sunscreen.
Great spot for mountain biking particularly in the winter.
good drive. nice views but a little narrow for a full-size Bronco
Was an awesome run we did as a night run which made it a little scary on the narrow road but was fun.
Great mountain biking area. Lots of options here when you park just north of the waste transfer station along the road next to the canal. Head east and explore. Come back on the Liberty Bell or Dos Equis trail for fun. It would be great if the bike shop in town had a clue about this are and provided maps. A bike group needs to get out there and do some signage. This place rocks!
Nice trail! Little narrow but easily done with a 2 door jeep. Lockers were nice to make sure you don't slip with it being so narrow. Didn't go all the way but looks real nice. Little longer than 2 hours for the whole thing I would imagine though. Nice views, good cellphone service too just in case.
A great ride. Best on ATV. Its a little narrow for regular vehicle but can be done.
