Mellow road that even a Prius can make slowly. The lake access and view at the end are amazing.

Walking

Road accessible to most SUVs. We had the assumption that the road was not maintained and groomed. It was and small cars passed us on the trail. Basically, walking a dirt rocky road the whole time. 110’degree weather with zero shade we were unprepared. However, Lake Mead at the end of the road was AMAZING. Very refreshing and the view was great. The walk back was tough.

The trail itself was not hard, a little washed out and there were some rocks. The scenery was nice, you’ll get some great photos. Ground clearance is important and stay out of the sand. There is an AZ outhouse facility near the beach parking area. On the way out there is a ridge trail on the left that is more difficult for a crossover, the views are worth it if you can make it.

Was absolutely lovely but i was insane to drive my 2009 Ford Focus to this location . I had to get roadside assistance, the roads were extremely rocky and you drive for a while before you hit the lake but other than that, i reccomend this place for families and friends. Beware of spiders while hiking and bring tents/shade!

This is a maintained road right to the water. But it seems that the road is not on a scheduled weekly maintenance per say. It is wash boarded In areas, and the closer you get to the water there is a steep decent that is really rough. Could be tough for inexperienced off-roaders to pass when leaving without four wheel drive. Once we got to the water there were cars down there, so it can be done in a car. A lot of people parked just before the rough area and walked down. Get there early if you want a water front spot as it fills up fast. There is a dirt launch ramp for jet skis and boats. We unloaded the kayaks and kayaked the area it was very nice day on the water. Not a tree hugger by any means but people tend to leave a lot of trash loose to blow into the water and around the area.

If you have 4 wheel drive, just drive down and enjoy the lake. But great easy hike.

Camping

Trail was great. Definitely recommend a 4x4 or you can park your car at the top of the trail and hike down to the lake. Great camping spot. Burros and coyotes are in the area so pack your food up good!

Easy enough that I seen regular cars at the bottom of the trail. Trail Ends at the lake. Short but very nice scenery!

I would recommend a 4x4 to get down there first of all. We take our Tacoma with no issues. At the end is the southeast shore of Lake Mead. There is camping allowed there and an outhouse. The scenery is gorgeous and there are some fun and moderate trails. We came upon a family of burros which didn’t seem to mind us.
