Approximately 2.3 miles round trip, 1000 ft ascension. A steep, narrow trail carved into the rock of one of the Gila Mountains. The summit is designated with an American flag and a 360 degree view. Not for the faint of heart, nor for those inclined to acrophobia or vertigo.

Was amazing, once I got to it...google maps is great... To find this trail go to the corner of 48th Street and Ave 15E on the far east side of the Foothills area, next to the new "Ravines" development. All along Ave 15E you'll see that dirt roads head off toward the Gila mtns. along the tops of small hills. Follow the one closest to this intersection, either on foot or in a 4WD vehicle. After less than a mile you can easily see the trailhead on the side of the mtn. The path starts out as 2 foot wide path but shortly becomes a narrower 1-2 foot path along the way and the top is a scramble. I felt so alive at the summit though! Great hike, took 41 minutes to get up. Enjoy and look for big horns!

Nice single track climb. Starts out easy and gets progressively harder, with a great scramble near the top. Beautiful views of the Yuma foothills. Recommend going in the winter months. Park near Las Barrancas golf course and run to the base for an added challenge.
