great hike, kind of Muddy slippery in some spots but it was very well done the trail was easy to see and follow.
Very easy trail. No shade. Views are mediocre at best. It costs $7/ person to get in and I couldn’t find one reason for it. There are many trails in Sedona that have spectacular views, are well maintained, and are free or cost is per car not per person. I was sooooo disappointed!!!
Clockwise loop hike in Red Rock State Park: Bunkhouse Trail (cross Bridge over River) - East Gate Trail - Javalina Trail - Apache Fire Trail - Kisva Trail - and then cross back over river on Bunkhouse Trail back to Visitor’s Center. Good hike. Would be spectacular on a prettier day - today was full overcast and around 50 degrees.
Arrived at the park, and it was really easy to find the beginning of the trail. The rangers were very helpful. The trails were nice, but nothing was outright breathtaking. To be honest, it was kind of repetitive, and you could see houses. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and I would recommend it especially if you have young children as there are many shorter routes to choose from and everything is well maintained. As for coming back... well I feel like one trip covered everything I needed to.
