Beautiful area and drive--we were in a SUV and made it fine. Short hike to the ruins and restroom nearby. https://youtu.be/c3PxaWyA17U

This was a really beautiful short walk to the ruins and petroglyphs. It was shady and involved a good number of steps built into the red rocks to get to the viewing area. We went on a Saturday morning and it was busy. About 80% of the traffic was ATVs and Pink Jeep tours. We took a 4WD SUV and it was a pretty rough road coming in, it gets the most rough in the last 2-3 miles. Great views on the drive. Plan on about 3 hours total from Sedona or Cottonwood including the drive, it's slow going but a fun morning trip

Just wanted to share a couple of heads up items - plan to go early, since it closes at 3pm. The 10 mile drive on an incredibly rough rocky road is NOT for cars. (Best to take a truck or Jeep.) Be aware that if it the temperature gets too hot, they SHUT DOWN with no warning. I don’t mean this to sound like a negative review - since we never saw the ruins - but letting others know. If we would have been prepared for the high heat closure possibility, we would have planned different trails for the day.

Easy hike however directions to the site are incorrect. close to the end of the end of the drive the map will direct you to the right. but the correct road goes left (road is not shown on map). If you go through gate that says Handcock Ranch your heading the wrong way.

Short easy trail with a quick view of the ruins and little waterfalls misting over the greenery. The drive to the actual place was quite scenic too.

Long and scenic drive on a dirt road. The scenery is amazing and the hike itself is easy and fast.

Once you get there it’s great, but the road there is the worst we’ve ever been on. We’ve got a four wheel drive truck. I would recommend a Jeep tour or off road vehicle.

This trail is very easy but the ruins are fascinating. I recommend this for all ages. Look for some of the markings on the cliff when you go. I really enjoy this hike and I would definitely go back.

Not a good road for low clearance cars! Cannot emphasize that enough! Allow 40 minutes driving from Sedona.

My mom and I did this trail with Pink Jeep Tours and our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the culture, history, plants, and animals. Easy and fascinating hike. Loved seeing the ruins.

An easy loop trail to some excellent Indian ruins. The trail along the red rock bluff is uneven in spots.
