Great short hike - getting to the hole provides some nice shade and a small breeze. Took my 2 and 4 year old with me - they were easily able to climb the rocks with a small amount of help from me. Very enjoyable overall.

Easy “hike” for active people. It may be a bit difficult for some to get up in the hole area.

Easy - casual hike. This hike is not long at all. You can make it longer by following more trails surrounding it, or walking along the canal. Just really nice to get outside. Going early in the morning is best, as it is getting hotter out. Please leave your dogs home if it is above 100°; it’s too hot for them (pavement).

Hike is short with a lot of people. Decent views of downtown and the rock structure is pretty cool with the hole. Don’t make this a priority.

A short hike to hole in the Rock. On the top, a good view of Downtown Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale and Chandler.

Extremely easy, quick, and fun. A great place for pictures and a fun little thing to do if you’re not looking for a real hike. There’s also a lot to see in the park making it a fun afternoon activity.

A very short uphill hike with amazing views! It is so worth it and my younger kids had fun climbing on the rock structure.

Provides a nice view. It’s basically just a semi-steep walk up to the rock hole, so this would be nice for a family or getting some cool photos. This whole general area was enjoyable for trail running! I ran around by all the water, hills, and various paths.

Great trail. Went as a family with a 5 and 8 year old and they had a ball. Park rangers were stationed to help people stay spread out and support social distancing. Flowers were in bloom giving some pretty scenery along the way. Plenty of parking, too.
