This is a 2-part off road trail. The first part is accessed by turning right off of Hwy 60 onto NF989 at the west end of Superior. (Note that there use to be access directly off of Hwy 60 but this was closed when highway widened to 4 lanes.) The first Waypoint is for the Apache Tears Drop. The link gives a brief history - http://www.firstpeople.us/FP-Html-Legends/Apache_Tear_Drop-Apache.html. The second waypoint is of wagon tracks worn into the rock by wagon carrying ore to local mills. The tracks on the animals pulling the wagons ar clearly visible. The other waypoints are interesting sites of a corral made of rock, remains of an old jail used for overnights stops while transporting prisoners pus an nearby geogache, and an interesting "Baby Grand Canyon" about 1/4 mile long and up to 12 ft deep. Total time is about 4 to 5 hours.
