Nice walk. Jump off the loop and walk the trail through the canyon to the drainage pipe under Griffith Springs road. Turns it into a 2.5 mile walk. Great rock formations.

A very pleasant trail. Easy and mostly shady as advertised. A cool wind made it even more pleasant. The spring itself isn’t much to see, bu I suspect we weren’t there when the flowers are fully out.

Nice short walk down to the Griffith Tank and loops around back to the parking lot. Partially shaded so if you have a good breeze it’s ok on a warm summer day.

Wonderful easy hike for us and our small dogs. The loop is very easy to follow and you are surrounded by trees and their shade. We went on a breezy beautiful day. There is an area that you can go off trail and hike down to the creek and back up - we liked adding that challenge but know that it’s rocky and you’ve got to be careful. We took our time and stopped for photos - this can easily be done in less time than our 57min!

Perfect little 1 mike loop. Mostly shaded hike in pine forest on an easy to follow maintained trail. Some small rock formations otherwise just a pine forest with some small ponds. No elevation change. Easy parking in the parking lot. Great hike for kids.

Short easy loop through a lush green creek bed. Lots of wildflowers and clear running water. We extended the hike to the AZ89A roadbed with a culvert running under it, and doubled back to the loop. Made it 3 miles overall.

An easy, woodsy loop trail outside of Flagstaff heading in from Sedona. Very shady and quiet. Saw some squirrels and chipmunks. Dog friendly; mine enjoyed the little excursion. Not a single person around, so I’d say it’s not highly trafficked. Probably because it’s very easy and nothing too spectacular to see. I did enjoy it though. A quiet, peaceful stroll. Well marked. Also has a great view of a meadow and a little muddy boggy baby pond.

We went on this easy trail during Spring and it was just beautiful. Lots of yellow flowers, song birds and blue jays. Traveled down to the small spring to explore & sit a spell. The sounds of a babbling brook and wind through the pines was just what this city gal needed.

Nice hike, generally easy. The stream and the views are really pretty. My dog loved running through the water. The only thing that threw me off was that it seemed like there were several trails going the same directions, not sure which one is the actual loop.

The entrance to trailhead is gated and closed. No notes here that it is a seasonal hike.
