Granite Rapids via Monument Creek Trail is a 3.1 mile out and back trail located near Grand Canyon, Arizona that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking.
Hiked as part of my Hermit Rest trailhead to Bright Angel trailhead loop. I highly recommend the short trip to the river. It's a long 1.3 miles, but worth the effort. There is a large sandy campground to the west of the trail by the beach. There is also a small spot for a tent or two to the east right next to Monument Creek. AllTrails shows a campground further east but I did not know this until after. My trip was last minute and had to change my permit so I was unaware of some of the places I was going. Water is available in the creek or the Colorado.
This hike was amazing. We sat on a sandy beach and watched people rafting in the Colorado.
