Wonderful trail, easy, didn't need poles I'd brought, great rock formations--careful of rattler(s)? right in front of first large rock formation on trail on right coming from trailhead parking lot!

This is a lovely trail, albeit somewhat well used. Fairly easy trail, with some nice rock formations.

We also did the 6 mile loop around Granite Mountain. It was a beautiful day and there wasn’t a lot of traffic on the trails. It was an easy walk with elevation changes and the scenery was incredible.

Some of best scenery among neighboring mountains. Not the workout that you get doing nearby Tom’s Thumb but certainly worth nonetheless.

Good fairly easy trail. Enjoyed the mountain range view from Scenic Viewpoint right off the trail and all the naturally balanced rocks and boulders. Also passed through a section surrounded with quarts. Some ups and downs make for a decent workout, but overall not too difficult. Would recommend for an easy outing.

There port-a-potties at the parking lot. Minimal bikers, horse riders and hikers during morning weekdays. Lush Sonoran desert and lots of scat from deer, javalina, coyote and bobcat. Desert tortoises too, but I haven’t seen one yet on this trail. Gorgeous!

Such a great hike. Very easy but good distance around 6 miles total from trail head. Will do this often once we move to the area. Great for everyday stroll.

Beautiful boulders on the trail. The north side is a great view. A lot of mountain bikers, and the loop itself is 5 miles, but there is about .5 miles hike from the parking lot to the trail head. So total, it’s just over 6 miles. A good distance for being close to town.

Did this yesterday and it was great. Might be my new fav in the preserve. Good trails so you can keep you eyes up for the views, close ups of boulders, lots of vegetation too.

Not 10 miles as indicated by AllTrails, but 6.6 miles. A fun training loop with small amounts of climbing amidst beautiful rock formations. Plenty of twisty winding trails for cornering fun. Lots of people on this trail in the winter. One of the more scenic trails in the Brown's Ranch system of trails. It's a relaxing change after riding trails at South Mountain near Phoenix.
