Getting There

The trail is paved and lined with markers to show you how far you've traveled both in feet and years (an earth-time line if you will). Also has types of rocks formed around the time marked on the trail. Very fun for kids and educational too.

Great trail to see the Grand Canyon on your own. Beautiful scenery that’s unforgettable! Easy trail on concrete walk.

We started by Mather Point, which was really crowded. Stick with it and the crowds thin out along the way!

Perfect trail for great views, little to no elevation gain, kids, animals, and anyone not looking for a crazy hike (*cough* my wife *cough*)

We hiked from The Village to Mojave Point. 7.4 mi out and back. Mostly paved with slight elevation changes. Last mile or so was unpaved but manageable without hiking shoes. Route offers many excellent and diverse views of the canyon. We started at sunrise and didn’t see anyone else on the trail until we got back close to The Village.

Paved path with great views of the canyon. A bit crowded in places but that's to be expected at the Grand Canyon. Make sure to bring water!

If you’re visiting the Grand Canyon for the first time, this is the trail for you. Perfect for kids, wheelchair accessible, very little elevation gain, and plenty of lookouts to get great views of the canyon.

Amazing views, beautiful sunset. But stargazing definitely topped off our experience! Paved paths with plenty of rest areas. Comfortable walk and suitable for kids. Convenient gift shops for any forgotten necessities.

This is basically a nice walk between the Grand Canyon visitor center and the Village. It's on a asphalt trail and pretty much flat. It offers many scenic points. You can wear tennis shoes on this walk. Bring water and wear a hat.

Love love LOVE going to the Grand Canyon! Sun rises and sunsets are so beautiful at this location! While you’re there you can also go and explore the other “site seeing” locations that are just a short drive away from the south rim. Also, A LOT OF WILD LIFE, as you would imagine. Saw some deer the last time I was there.

Lots of beautiful views.. it started to rain a bit, and we witnessed lightning in the canyon. Scary but great adventure. Pretty crowded, as it is The Grand Canyon. Squirrels will come up to you like domesticated cats.. one was trying to get into my backpack. You really need a few days here to really explore.. you pay the fee per car to get into the National park. The fee that you pay is good for a week of visits .. or at least it was like that when I was visiting the Grand Canyon
