The views from the top of Goat Hill are awesome on a clear day as you can enjoy a 360 view. Telegraph Trail is kind of a sidewalk part of the after that a little bit rocky until you reach the summit road.

Loved this trail. It's mostly uphill the entire way in (down hill on the way out) but the views are worth it. Fantastic views of downtown Phoenix and sections west of downtown. Fantastic views of the Ahwatukee Foothills. I started / ended my hike across the street from the Kyrene de los Cerritos and entered via the path just on the north side of E. Desert Broom Way.

Great trail!

This is a nice trail adequately labeled as moderate. Beware if you’re taking this trail to see the mine, the mine trail is closed. After passing the first closed sign we decided to turn around at the 2nd sign stating no trespassing. Even though, it is a nice hike with a couple of pretty steep rocky climes. The part I did not like was walking along the road close to the mid point, on the way back we stayed on the “B” trail to the “R” (Ranger), which added about 0.4 to 0.5 miles but was much better.

Great out and back with excellent views. Shade in a few places but mostly full sun exposure. The crowds were thick, seemed to thin out after the rock house, and the last 1 mile to Goat Hill I did not see 1 person.

Good hike overall. Beginning is busy (on a Sunday) once you hit National less foot traffic.

While the Telegraph Pass Trail to the National Trail lookout can be busy on the weekends, the remainder of trail to Goat Hill is delightfully less crowded. It’s a beautiful hike if you begin just after dawn. Study the map so you can identify the bypass trail to Goat Hill. The climb to the top is very short. If you can climb Telegraph Pass without getting winded, the rest of the route is a breeze. It was an easy 2.5 hour hike and worth it if you have the time.

My first time hiking to Goat Hill, and I hiked with several friends. We made several stops to take photos and to take in the scenery, so we were out on the trail much longer than normal. Telegraph is good elevation, and taking the National Trail to Goat Hill will be an interesting trek. We saw a man riding his horse with a manless horse and dog following close behind him...the highlight of our hike! Overall, we enjoyed this hike and highly recommend. :)

Great trail connections. A lot of the grasses have dried out but the cactus are still in bloom. Kiwanis was awesome & a sort of hidden canyon trail. Lomitas & Ranger were very lightly trafficked. Lomitas was quite flat & easy with a few spots to stop at picnic benches. Ranger had a great switchback trail that connected to National. National rose the ridgeline until we connected at the old ranger station & came back down Telegraph.

Good typical So Mtn hike with the climb at telegraph pass & rangers. Flowers were in full bloom which made for an excellent hike.

Enjoyed this hike. It was a brief 2 hour hike that was also a bit of a challenge. Recommend starting as early as possible in the morning during the summer months. I started at 6am and wish I had started closer to 5:30 in order to take advantage of the shade provided by another nearby peak.

Kind of an extension of Telegraph Pass. The hut at the top is cool. More easy-moderate than easy, but I was going fairly quickly.

Good workout hike. More of an easy-moderate in difficulty. From the parking lot to the top of Goat Hill, it's 6.10 miles round trip, about 1400' aeg. Lots up people up to Telegraph Pass, then the crowds thin past the stone building. Plenty of poppies blooming along National to the east of Goat Hill right now.

Great place to hike. Once you get to Telegraph Pass you can go left to Goat Hill or right to the trail summit of South Mountain. Either way it is more moderate than easy. See short video of this trail at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtEY8Vc6LA0

It was a nice morning out and not as busy as I thought it would be. It was a nice hike on a cooler day 85 at the start with a very nice cool breeze. Todays hike was very relaxing to meet. I always enjoy hiking after it has rained
