This was a nice hike. Lots of cyclists so you have to move a lot cuz the trail is narrow. But really is a good hike lots of down in the beginning so remember coming back the end is going up. It's not a big elevation change but if you make yourself tired early, coming back will be a challenge. I would day in the easy end of "moderate". Beautiful scenery. Snakes.. Saw a few. But worth it.

Beautiful views and a nice winding single track. But for a novice biker like me it was too rocky and I had to hike my bike half the time.

A quiet & easy well-maintained trail. Saw a handful of bikers & hikers on a beautiful Sunday morning. Close-up views of Cockscomb,Doe & Bear Mountains halfway on the trail. Then about 3/4 of the trail,a close-up view of Thunder Mt.,Lizard Head,& Chimney Rock. I reccomend finishing Girdner Trail all the way to 89A towards Dry Creek Road then turn around & hike up to Anaconda Trail. You'll be rewarded with a wonderful 360 view of West Sedona, VOC,& Verde Valley. Then hike AZ Cypress Trail and cross over 2 huge but dry washes then connect back to Girdner Trail. What a nice &relaxing hike!

If you went from cultural park to the end of Girdner, and back through Anaconda (super fun switchbacks, but watch your speed) and AZ Cypress, you’ll come to the Rupp sign. Go left up the hill to the new Girdner trail (not far). Once AllTrails fixes the map it’ll make more sense. Great ride.

Attempted to get onto Ledge-n-airy but was not able to stay on out the whole way. The rework of the trail may have been the reason

Really nice trail. Quiet and secluded for most of the route, barely saw anyone else out there on a weekday morning. Beautiful views.

Girdner has been rerouted (April-May 2019) with large sections of new trail, to eliminate almost all of the creek crossings. Trail now stays up higher, giving great views of the red rocks all around. Due to limited time, only hiked from Cultural Park to 1st crossing of Dry Creek, about 3.2 miles in, then had to turn around to hike back. Very lightly trafficked, less than a dozen bikers and even fewer hikers, on a Wed mid-morning hike in early June. Very pleasant.

This trail is completely impassable during wetter months. Trail criss-crosses a large, fast flowing stream, meaning near constant water crossings for miles. Not worth it.

washed out creek to high couldn't get thru only 1/4 into hike.

We only had time to hike half the trail but loved the views and critters along the way.
