Just did this hike, its pretty brutal the trail before prospect and then as soon as you get to the pavement on thompson peak you better be ready to hike, i pulled out a level app on my phone and your hiking a 30 degree incline for a few miles. well worth it . if your starting from the Gateway trail head allocate 6 hours for this hike round trip.
