Nice, very easy trail follows the shoreline for about 3/4 of the way around the lake. Then, the trail backtracks the same shoreline path back to the parking lot on the west side of the lake. Lots of wildlife. Portions of the path go past a residential area, which takes away from the "outdoor" feel to this hike.

The trail at the bottom of the steps over by amphitheater is really great. Beautiful views of the lake & quite peaceful. A few ppl fishing, kayaking. Definitely would do again.

Have to pay fee to get in park. Trail around lake is a little boring, but if you park by day use at non electric camp sites and take steps down by amphitheater you can get down by creek area and that's beautiful.

Fantastic getaway not far from the valley! We enjoyed hiking, paddle boarding, swimming in the lake, and fishing. The hike is a short 3 mile out-and-back, easy for kids and well maintained. Bathrooms and showers were all very clean. We had a harmless skunk family that would wander through our campsite every evening at dusk. Very peaceful campground and we can’t wait to come back!

Well maintained trail and pretty easy. Great trail to bring younger grandkids and also dogs. Very beautiful and much fun along the way if you wanted to stop and throw rocks or just visualize the beauty.
