First Forest Point is a 4.4 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Holbrook, Arizona that offers scenic views and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and trail running and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

I only did half of the trail, but a ranger told me later the first half is most impressive anyway. Amazing just how much petrified wood was there. Other paved and marked trails have a lot, but this had A LOT

Very interesting off trail hike that we elected to do without aids since it was a very open area. Had a GPS to record the hike, but I kept it on the Trip Computer. We veered off at times, but was easy to adjust. Would have liked to explore the mesa rim and its views more, but, unfortunately, we were on a time schedule that morning.
