Not really a do or die part of the main Fay Canyon hike. A lot more cacti to contend with and didn't have the wow factor of the main trail.

A couple notes:
1) The offshoot trail to the arch (right turn) is not an official or maintained path. It is marked by a small cairn and crosses a dried river bed. Be sure to wear long pants and be aware of snakes in the greener months.
2) If you continue down the Fay Canyon trail, there is an AMAZING hand over hand climb to a lookout. This is an unofficial trail as well, but you'll see an obvious path up.
