Two new trails at McDowell Mountain Regional Park. The route as GPSed starts from where the Cinch Trail starts at Scenic Trail, follows it to Escondido Trail a short distance in from the Four Peaks Staging Area, and follows the Escondido Trail all the way to its junction with Pemberton Trail. This trail goes through pristine Sonoran Desert along the base of Loueley Hills not affected by the 1995 Rio Fire, and its north side is chockful with huge saguaros. The views to the Mazatzals are breathtaking.

Easy trail with lots of road noise. It would be good for bike or walking your dog as it isn’t heavily trafficked.

Good trail for mountain bikes but not so great for hiking. Always within earshot and eyesight of a busy road. I prefer peace and quiet
