Beautiful trail! A bit steep in parts, so not good for those with knee issues. The wildflowers were amazing!

Pretty cool hike, nice views from the top. We went the harder way up which made for a good Workout. Probably would have been cool if we had gone when the creek had some water to play in.

Great trail. In summer I would worry about rattle snakes and go early. We went counter clockwise. Difficult climb to peak. But worth it. 360 degree views. Down was easy. Very fun.

Started nice and early and looped counterclockwise. Added the summit of Elephant Mountain to the trip and that made all the difference. Epic views in every direction! So green, flowers are starting to bloom. It is rocky, so if you don't like that, you might wanna pick a different trail ;-) Well worth the drive. Will be back to this spot!

Great views. Nobody else on the elephant mountain trail but us- only the other trails were busy. Don’t miss the side trail to the fortifications.

Did 10.0 miles on Spur Cross, Elephant Mtn and Limestone loop, clockwise.

Very rocky with loose gravel, must watch where you step as the rocks are loose and roll under your feet. We had three people fall on the hike. All were experienced hikers.

Pleasant hike, good workout. The view from the saddle is decent. Overall not in my top ten for the Phoenix area. Trail is good but not well marked in spots.

One of the most beautiful hikes in the Phoenix area and a great workout! Highly recommend, not many people so plenty of solitude moments. No shade which makes it seem warmer than it really is. This might be a good hike to do on a more overcast day or start early in the morning. Watch out for mountain bikers. ☺
