Easy trail, because of incline and rocks there are some moderate spots on the trail. Incline is gradual up the mountain, with a couple of switchbacks. Trail has sand and rocky patches but nothing that makes hike hard. I suggest walking the path clockwise as the views coming out are gorgeous.

I loved this trail! Amazing views from the highest point. I would say it’s a pretty easy trail with maybe some moderate points towards the top with some rocky points to the trail. Stunning views all around and lots of wild life at Red Rocks State Park.

One of my favorites. Trail starts off flat. Lots of birds. We saw a couple herds of deer. Climbing up to Eagle’s Nest was a little steep. The trail is easy to follow. Nice payoff at the end with a beautiful view. Only saw about four people on the hike. Worth the drive from Phoenix and the $7 entrance fee.

Amazing views… To be expected. Trails were a bit rocky and places… To be expected. Eagle nest trail was great exercise with plenty of space to stop and sit/reflect or just take a breather. I definitely would hike this trail again and love this area

The trail itself is pretty easy. It gets steep in some areas and is quite rocky though. The views are not mind blowing, but still pretty. There are houses and fencing that really ruins the whole thing, unfortunately. I wouldn’t do this one again, simply because every photo opportunity includes homes, buildings or cars in the distance. It really takes away from the natural beauty. The trail is also heavily trafficked.

Fall foliage is stunning looking down from the ridge towards Oak Creek. Lots of birds & great red rock views.

The All Trails route bridge is out as well as the bridge to the North. I hopped over the stream. The only open bridge is to the Southeast. Once across Oak Creek you can connect with this hike. The trail is nice great views except there's a big house(s) in every one of them. Takes away from the beauty

awesome trail. View is well worth the hike with a nice cool shaded walk at the bottom next to a stream. Two bridges were out so we just took a different route to start. * Mid September*

Great little hike! with nice views. The first half had lots of shade but as you climb higher it does get more exposed. The views keep getting better as you climb higher. The fee was very reasonable and its a pack in pack out park. The park does have a ranger station and very clean bathrooms. If you are looking for an easy 2 hr. hike try this one and don't forget to bring your camera.

I enjoy Eagles Nest trail. Although there's some elevation change, the trail is well kept and not as rocky as other Sedona trails. No dogs are allowed as this is a State park. There are 2 bridges out which eventually will be replaced, but the main bridge is still open. The best part of this park is sitting by Oak Creek after the hike. It's shady, beautiful and peaceful!

Beautiful trail. Easy. Very few people and no bikers Just keep in mind that this is not a National Forest, but State Park. Tickets are $7/person, so for family it can be little bit pricey.

This was a lovely 2,5 mile loop that offered nice vistas. It was pretty popular, and there were a lot of views of homes. But it was a nice little hike for the middle of the day.

great early morning hike. it takes you over a great creek, marshlands, (via small wooden bridge), up the rock and threw a pasture, (include deer). we took this on our way out of town, and it doesn't disappoint. only downside was the view and proximity of houses.
