Took Three Tank Trail around the back side to meet up with Douglas Springs Trail on the way down. Wildflowers and butterflies galore. Water in a few spots and did a total of 7 miles. Great views of the entire Tucson city. Strong moderate hike and will be back. Got to watch out for horse droppings.

Fun easy to moderate hike for novice to expert hikers, but could be too challenging if you’re not fit. Complete it with the Garwood Damn loop and back to the trailhead on Wildhorse for an extra challenge and more scenery. There’s three trails that converge at the tank, so be careful or you’ll end up on the wrong one and either make your hike too short or a lot longer than you wanted! There’s a lot of trails to connect to so you can come back again and again and mix it up. Trail can be quite rutted from all the horse traffic.

too crowded. poor parking. no restrooms. horses cause more congestion and make it unsafe in narrow sections. horses poop all over the trail. horses shouldn't be allowed.

crowded. poor parking. horses cause congestion. they shouldn't be allowed on this busy of a trial. house poop everywhere.

Overall nice and well manicured trail and easy to follow. Lots of sun and minimal shade so lots of sunscreen and water. There was some water in the spring and some small waterfalls along the way which was nice.

Great cardio trail. Well marked.

We went left - next go right on Garwood Trail to do loop in opposite direction with steep stairs at end.

Trail was in good shape.

There were lots of Saguaro, several types of Cholla, Barrel, Hedgehog, and Prickly Pear cactus. As I climbed out of the valley and gained altitude the Saguaro and Barrel cactus disappeared. The trail is in good shape just watch your step. Lots of horse droppings
