Fun 5k run!

Pretty trail. Nice views. Kind of difficult to follow. Easy to get off the trail without knowing it. The trail was pretty flat for most of the way.

Early hike! This is an easy trail (if you are not climbing the butte). My favorite part is where the stairs are at! Also the views of the butte.
Went with 3 kids and they enjoyed the hike

Pretty good hike. Very easy but something to take friends or family to without going far away. The construction off behind the golf course was loud but if you take your headphones I didn’t notice it anymore.

First time mountain biking. Used this trail to break in new bike. For beginners, its a great trail.

Easy hike with little portions of elevation. Great for dogs and children.

Roughly an hour loop including times I made a wrong turn and/or stopped for pictures. Got way too excited seeing a jackrabbit along the trail.

trail not marked clearly with 5 near red rocks and part closed due to golf course expansion . How sad

It was an easy trail but really difficult to follow. When you begin you can follow the posts labeled “5” but as you get closer to the red rocks, the posts aren’t labeled anymore.

Great with the dogs, beautiful too

They look great from the road, fun indentures to climb in, but the trails aren't very challenging, unless you create your own up the mountains, but the entire park seems to be littered with broken glass. I don't understand what is going on there, never seen anyplace in Metro-Phoenix that looked this way since moving here? A great easy trail for folks looking to just take a stroll or ride their bike or run around. Also a lot of bees towards the top of the mountains in various crevasses.

Last Sunday, I attempted to do the Elliot Ramada and Double Butte Loop as described in the book "Take A Hike: Phoenix". The trail was supposed to be marked with a number 5 but I didn't see one anywhere but on the mapboard. I would have had a hard time anyway since when I walked over from the zoo, I didn't see any indication which ramada was the Elliot ramada. It was fortunately not too hot yet so it was a good day for wandering around and, of course, the Hole in the Rock was beautiful, but it would have been a better.experience with more markings or some which were easier to find and follow.

This local hike was a very easy hike during the day in January. No shady areas along this loop, except a shelter at the parking lot and in between the buttes, so a hat was needed. There were paved paths for the 5k Loop and dirt hiking trails intertwining with some of the mountain bike paths so you can pretty much make up your own loop path off or on any one of them, including two options to go to the summit of each butte.
Free parking. No restrooms.

Easy trail around the rocks. Markings are a little poor with all of the bike crossovers. Still perfect to have this in the middle of the city.

This was a fun easy walk with lots of alternate paths but all in open view. Very easy trail taking you around both buttes and giving you the opportunity to climb up if you desire. Saw mostly birds, a good size jackrabbit and lots of scat on the section near the golf course.

Went on a nice easy hike with our dog. It went very well. Super easy.

Easy peasy. Good for a short hike. Beautiful at sunset. We like it because it’s five minutes from where we are staying. Lots of garbage and dog poop though. :(

Not too exciting. Lots of dog poop in the beginning and garbage throughout. There’s a lot of people on the trail but it’s an easy hike. The buttes are, of course, beautiful.

Double Butte loop is lackluster to be honest. Poor views and a generally boring trail that has heavy mountain bike traffic on the weekend.

I would only suggest this trail for those nearby who are looking an easy trail to break into trial running.

Great for a quick hike to start or end the day. You can make it easy or a little more challenging by taking some of the singletracks. Saw the sign for active bees... still managed to get myself stung taking selfies.

great leisure trail. fantastic to bring your pup. markers all over, you'll have to try hard to get lost.

Really good hike. Hard to get too far off track, even if you accidentally leave the trail. Definitely deserves an easy rating, but you can amp it up a bit, if you try. Good for dogs.

Great to bring the kiddos. Easy hike and like the amphitheater to run some laps. Also great for starters.
