Dogie Trail is a 9.2 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Sedona, Arizona that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Directions from Flagstaff: Drive 30 miles south from Flagstaff through Sedona on US 89A. Five miles past Sedona turn north on FR 525 and follow the signs to Sycamore Pass. Turn west on FR 525C and continue for nine miles to the parking area. Hike road up to the saddle.

This was a fairly easy hike, but with VERY little shade making for a long, hot day!! I took 2.5L of water and ran out the last 1.5 miles... Should have taken the full 3L. Maybe it would be more enjoyable further into the fall.

Solid hike in Sycamore Canyon, 5.4 miles to river bed, total of ~11. Moderate. Take 89a to 525c and stay on it until the end- dirt roads but well maintained for the most part, any vehicle can make it to the parking area. Recommended if you want a canyon to yourself!
