Washboard and clouds of dust caused by people going much too fast to care for their vehicles. Come on guys, when you drive this road you are not late for work. At least show respect for others and slow down when you pass. Not a lot of good views either. After 4 miles of breathing thick dust we turned around.

It was a good scenic drive. The road was fairly smooth.

Like the name says, It's a road. That said I've used it cross country bike touring when the rim top 300 road was closed for spring melt. It can be "washboarded" from time to time the locals told me. Quit scenic as it traverses the mogollon rim.
