Took this trail to avoid crowds travelling to devil's bridge, when we got to the turn off there were still tons of large groups so we continued on to Brin's Mesa. Still managed to see devil's bridge before it got too dark. The walk on the trail was much nicer than the road walk.

I discovered quite by accident. Hiking from Mescal trailhead toward Brins Mesa I turned back after 4 hours of hiking area. Instead of returning on road to connect with Mescal I noticed Chuckwagon. It was wonderful surprise, far better than road covering same ground. A number of Creek bed crossings and gentle slopes that give u a great trip through the high desert valley. It winds up over the valley halfway thru and returns to road. Dry Creek Road hiked like Devils Arch may use trail road 152 but I recommend using surround trails instead of rough rocky road.

Fantastic trail. Wrong time of the year to attempt it. We had to end up taking the road because the Dry Creek wasn't dry and u passable. Great one that I will do this summer.

Really excellent hike for beginners, families with young kids, or those who aren't in great shape. The trail is extremely well marked, pretty flat, and offers a good amount of trees for shade. We hiked between 10 and 12 and we had a nice breeze the whole way, too- made the August temps much more bearable. There are beautiful views of the nearby rock formations along the whole trail, and you really don't see the street or cars until you're right by the parking lot. This was a lifesaver when we want to Devil's Bridge and wanted to avoid the horrible crowds on the 4x4 road. Love this trail!

Enjoyed the views on this hike and like most have said it was a pretty easy hike. We were limited on time so we were only able to do a little less than three miles of it , but was very peaceful we saw only one other couple while we were out .

Enjoyed this hike. Easy family hike or for the less experienced. Other than a handful of mountain bikers the trail was empty.

We hiked the whole loop and skipped the Devil's Bridge add-on (too crowded, we were warned). It was extremely enjoyable, lots of scenic variety, plenty of shady spots. It's an easy trail too.

Didn't get to finish the hike and make it to Devils Bridge. Got a little lost, had to get a ride back to my car and get to work! Otherwise it was lovely!

Nice little hike. The wife and I took on the way back from Devils Bridge trail. Definitely recommend doing this if you have time as the views are good and you won't be taking in fuel fumes from passing ATVs on the road. The creek bed that the trail leads on is kind of cool to follow also.

Fantastic hike that leads to Devil's Bridge. Since you can't drive up to the trailhead of Devil's Bridge, it makes sense to take Chuck Wagon to the trailhead. Much more scenic and beautiful.

This is a very nice trail that connects with Devils Bridge Trail. From the parking area on Long Canyon Rd it is about 1.8 miles to the Devils Bridge trail. These two trails together make a great hike. You do come to a creek bed where the trail seems to end. Hike up the creek bed (going to the right from the trail) for a little ways and the trail will go off to the left.
