My favorite hike at cattail cove. Some elevation, great desert and lake views. A little Rock climb in the wash. something was blooming and it had a great sweet fragrance. This one is definitely on my repeat list.

Great hike... we went in late April and very hot with not much shade, so go early. Park Employees demonstrating safe social distancing practices and very helpful. Beautiful water views

Beautiful! Nice hike with amazing water views. Some rocky scrambles, but mostly easy. Cacti are starting to bloom. Trail can be hard to stay on so download the map and use recording to stay on the trail. Not well marked.

The hill to hike if you're in Quartzsite. Nothing spectacular, but a good view of all the boondockers in BLM land during the RV show.

A surprisingly great trail to hike! If you like desert scenery and water views, you will like this trail. Just a little climbing to get your heart to start. Well maintained signs to help you with your choices of hiking trails. The name of the trail is not the perimeter loop, however, it does go on a part of the lake and desert area in a loop. Highly recommend this trail during the cooler months. A great hidden gem!

A very nice trail. I took a side trail called Wayne's Way with some nice views. It connects to McKinney Loop. See my recording.

I did the whole loop about 3.4 miles. Defiantly recommend. Started at the trail head next to boat launch and hiked along waters edge. Beautiful hike here and great for trail runners. This will take you to the camp spot. Nice area for quick snack. Back on trail you can choose to go Ripleys Run or shorter Teds Trail. I choose the longer way which takes you through a beautiful small canyon wash. After you exit the canyon you get back on trail through the hills. And can end taking the trail down to the parking lot. This trail is my top 3 in this area. Only thing I didn’t like was the names and graffiti carved into the rocks along the waters edge Trail. When I went not a single person on it. Which I love.

We liked this trail it is very well marked until we tried to continue farther on to Ridleys run. The ranger said do to all the rain some of the trail markings were being repaired. Ended up going about 3.5 active trail dog friendly a $3 entrance fee. We will hike here again. Take plenty of water for you and your pet.
