Get there early for parking! Fills up fast but at least has some off road parking. $5 daily pass required to park. There’s a station there to pay, don’t need to in advance. Cathedral trail should definitely be rated hard. All scrambling up to the highest point. Templeton trail to Red Rock was very cool. Nice, easy hike. Grew views. A couple switchbacks coming back up. Last half of trail (little under a mile or so) is very green and shaded. Runs along a creek you can swim in. Lots of people out swimming. Trail ends at a word flat crossing with tons of people partying and swimming. This trail was not what I expected at all! Still a good one for the views.

Expected water at this trail, but there wasn’t any. It was a nice simple trail.

Rock too crowded. Templeton was cool

This trail is absolutely beautiful! There’s a few spots that are a bit sketchy but as long as you have some good shoes and go slow, it’s a beautiful journey to the top. A definite must see!

Loved this trail! We ended up taking the cathedral trail to the templeton trail to get down to the creek which was beautiful and a great place to just relax and eat lunch! The climb back up was tough but felt good!

Step going up but we’ll marked. The views are beautiful the entire way and spectacular at the top. Definitely one of my favorite Sedona trails!

This one was really hard for me, I was so scared going up! Steep with lots of sheer rock faces to climb, but so worth it at the top!

These 2 trails don't connect. The Cathedral hike is beautiful and challenging but it is no where near the Red Rock Crossing trail.

We went mid afternoon and while it was hot, still manageable with shade and plenty of water. The hike up to Cathedral Rock does require hands and is steep at points. Beautiful view.

This is my favorite trail in Sedona. Great to hike with your dog. Moderate trail with lots of little shade areas. There are a few places you can swim, very refreshing!!

Easy hike with spectacular views. We initially intended to hike to the top of Cathedral Rock but it started raining just as we started climbing and it got too slippery. We hiked around instead, shot some incredible pictures and got a good hike in. Definitely plan on going back to finish the climb.

This one was a wonderful surprise. absolutely loved the climb/scramble to the top and the view was breathtaking. Definitely one you should take on while visiting Sedona but definitely need to be in good shape if you plan on going to the top. So gorgeous!! Loved this one!

Great hike however there are no signs anywhere so we did get lost for a second but some locals helped us out. We parked at crescent moon lot and crossed the river by the vortex. You will have to take your shoes off because there is almost no way to cross it without some water getting on you so account for that. From there on now it’s a nice easy hike through the forest by the river and you’ll get to snap the iconic picture of the Cathedral Rock from the meadows. You need to go down Baldwin trail until it splits into Templeton trail, which there is no sign for, just keep following the river. You’ll eventually go through some switchbacks and onto the cathedral rock ascent you’ll venture. It was lots of fun but definitely not for everybody. A lot of people turned around at he base of it but it’s definitely worth the climb.

Got started later than planned, so trek back to car was mostly sun and hot. Beautiful views and lots of diversity as trail descends to a river. I would recommend this trail.

Wow! Great hike. Started off uphill for a little bit but then its flat and down hill the rest of the way. Didnt take as much time as expected to get all the way in. Found a perfect spot by the creek...we sat down, played in the water. Overall a great time. Only reason I wouldnt give it 5 stars is because it was alot busier than I wouldve liked. But I will definitely be visiting again
