Castle Hot Springs OHV Road is a 36.3 mile lightly trafficked point-to-point trail located near Morristown, Arizona that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for off road driving.
Love this drive, such a beautiful, easy way to get out into some of Arizona's finest deserts. There's not anywhere to stop along the way, as most of this travels through private land(the parts I'd want to stop and explore anyway), but a great drive nonetheless. if you start at 74, you end by Lake Pleasant, with amazing views of the lake as well.
Great conditions. Not a challenging drive Just enough mud to play in. Great day
Easy and fun. Got off at a wash and did the remainder of the trip back to the 74
We drove Castle Hot Springs on a Wednesday morning and only passed 3 vehicles on the Road between Rt 60 and the Hot Springs Oasis. We were in a stock 2020 Jeep Wrangler JLU. The trip was very easy on a mostly well maintained dirt road. There were spots with a little washboard and some very short steep grades. We enjoyed the views and drive. The trip from Rt 60 to Lake Pleasant was about 2 hours. We did stop a couple times for photos. This would be a good road for the novice person just getting used to their vehicle.
It was very easy. Basically a dirt road. Any car can do it
Easy with great views. Road wide enough for 2 way traffic. A lot of wildlife
it's an easy trail very scenic. lots of cows, quail, and donkeys. we did see some bullfrogs and a huge tarantula crossing the road. As you come out of the trail you see this massive looking resort it's beautiful. I don't recommend this trail at night. Hard to see anything including stars and when the sun was out the scene was beautiful.
Easy trail with great views. Lots of places to pull over and enjoy the scenery. No 4x4 needed.
Trail was nice and easy. No 4x4 needed. Trail is closed off about 7 miles in because of the castle hot springs resort.
