This is a relaxing hike that starts in a sandy wash. After about a mile and a half the trail leaves the wash and becomes a typical desert trek. Just make sure to follow the clearly marked metal signs indicating the trail. The next mile into the Cam-Boh picnic area gently climbs to spots with nice views of Panther Peak to the north and the Santa Catalinas to the East. Once at the Cam-Boh picnic area you can escape the desert heat under the ramada. The picnic area has many tables and grills, as well as a restroom.

It should be labeled as an easy hike as it is not difficult at all. However, when you park, make sure you go across the street otherwise you will end up on the wrong train to begin...like we did to start ha
