Beautiful trail! Opted to cut the hike a little short by skipping the westernmost gila section, cuts out about a mile. 360 views most of the trail, no shade at all but still a very pleasant hike.

Trail with beautiful views. Nice workout. A little busy at the beginning but very quiet as the trail continued.

Beautiful hike all the way around!! Went counterclockwise which you meet a fairly steep incline right out of the gate. Beautiful views of the valley once you get to the top and walk the ridge line. Very nice trail overall with some scrambles along the way. Will definitely hike again and take the clockwise direction for a different vantage point. PS: Accidentally didn't merge with Gila Trail so cut the hike by like 1 or so miles but oh well!!! Happy Trails!

Great trail for a workout, 3 different ascensions pretty fairly spaced out. My watch said I did in total 3425 elevation gain and 13.22 miles

Took 1 for the team today, went alone but Man was it gratifying. Moved at my own pace and let my mind wander, figured out some stuff along the way. 3 more hikes until the Grand Canyon, time to step it up... way up.

Desolate hike, but still beautiful. It is a long 13 miles. You go up and down some different mountains a few times, so a great long workout!

Nice trail with decent footing throughout (mostly crushed gravel). The loop is mostly rolling hills on top which wasn’t that difficult but it did drag on a bit at the end. Still probably one of my favorite hikes I’ve done in south mountain so far. Finished and it was 108 degrees which made it slightly less fun so I recommend going when it isn’t as hot because there isn’t much shade.

Very secluded. Most SW portion of the hike you may lose the trail. Went CCW and had a breeze to end the hike. Used 2L of water, high temp was 102°F.

Like another, I completed this over two days splitting at the Eliminator junction both times (11 miles was a wee bit long for late July... even when starting at 6A). It's a great hike. The western half is a nice steady climb (with places crossing flat lands between peaks) with the eastern steeper and rocky. A nice challenge that I'll complete all at once in cooler weather. If you do come down the Eliminator, be prepared for steep trails and loose footing... I used my hiking poles for the descent.
